Asterisk - Trunk Group Limits

I had a need to limit the number of calls sent out on a specific trunk, and wanted a generic way to do it.  I have been using this on Asterisk 1.6.1.x, but it may be supported on other versions.  At the core it uses GROUP and GROUP_COUNT functions.  Hopefully this will be of use to someone else.

Linux - Standardize your Linux installations

To me one of the most important things in managing servers is consistency.  It really helps if you know what OS, authentication methods, management configuration that your Linux servers all have.  I have heard many people say that they like variety.  I LOVE variety in my life outside of technology.  However, there is no room for it when it comes to configuring my servers.

Asterisk - Voicemail Password Restrictions

One of the new features in Asterisk 1.6.1 is the ability to launch an external application when someone wants to change their voicemail password.  This is most useful for administrators who want to enforce more strict password requirements.  Adding this option is as simple as:
